Once your relatives become Permanent Residents in Canada, they can study, and work. You can sponsor certain relatives to come to Canada. These include:

Meet the language requirements

The ability to communicate and work in English, French or both languages will help your business succeed in Canada.

You must take a language test from an approved agency and include the results with your application, or we won’t process it.

You must meet the minimum level of the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 in either English or French in all these four areas:

Spousal Sponsorship

This allows individuals with PR to sponsor their spouse (legally married partner), common-law partner, or conjugal-partner

Dependent Child Sponsorship

Parent and Grandparent Sponsorships

One can sponsor their own parents and grandparents, related by blood or adopted.

In case of divorce, you can submit separate applications if you plan to sponsor separated parents or grandparents.

Step-sisters, step-brothers, or half-brothers and half-sisters can be sponsored only if they qualify as per the dependent children rules
